The seventh iteration of the International Festival of Cultural Diversity, for which Egypt is the honored guest, began today in Paris’ first arrondissement. The festival showcased a number of speakers who highlighted Egypt’s diverse cultural history as well as the works of several contemporary artists. It was attended by a number of dignitaries including Fathī Sālih, advisor to the Egyptian Prime Minister on matters of cultural heritage, who expressed his pleasure that the festival did not only focus on Ancient Egypt but highlighted its modern cultural diversity as well.
