One picture was made by Al-Miṣrī al-Yawm reporters prior to entering al-zarayib area, and that was that revenge will be taken out from any Muslim passing the area. But that did not happen. Sami Karam, a resident of the area welcomed one of the reporters and explained that if they intended to burn the mosque, as was claimed and rumored, they would have burned the mosque in their area that is surrounded by Coptic homes; but they did not.

Several other residents assured that this is just another attempt by remnants of State Security to create another fitnah. No Copts ever intended to attack any mosque despite the attacks on them.
