An Egyptian fundamentalist source said that imprisoned members of the Gama’a Al-Islamiya have made changes in the organizational structure of the group. These changes follow their publication of four books in which they reconsider their ideologies and declare their renunciation of violence.

The founder and the lawyer of the Gama´a Al-Islamiya in Egypt will appear before court after six months of detention over the charge of attempting to revive the activities of the group. A Christian lawyer will head the board of defense in the case.
