The Muslim Brotherhood filed 17 lawsuits against Egypt’s government in a number of foreign countries. The Brotherhood filed lawsuits in countries such as Holland, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, and Ethiopia. The lawsuits aim to damage the image of the Egyptian government post-June 30^th Revolution. The lawsuits are premised on the group’s assertion that the events that unfolded around June 30^th, 2013 constituted a coup, not a revolution.
