Senae, was born in 2007 in Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, he is a single child and a vegetarian since he is 10 years old. He is Coptic Orthodox and lives in Maadi with his mum and dad. The Principal of the CAWU Learning center, Peter Mathias, told me that he is extremely smart, and I could confirm it with my personal encounter with him. He is very smart. He explained to me that his mum is a famous singer in Ethiopia and well known in the Ethiopian community in Cairo. She has traveled a lot, and he admires her. He told me about many places where he wants to travel to as he has heard from his mum’s stories. Sanae wants to become a computer engineer. He told me that in this field they do not mind if you are a refugee or not as long as you have the knowledge and skills. Moreover, he told me that he does not like Cairo and he will never feel integrated 100%, I asked him about the possibility to get Egyptian citizenship and he told me that it is impossible. He also added that he does not want even to have the nationality, he does not like Cairo, He sees Egypt as a transitory country until he is resettled in Canada. He just started a degree at Open Source Society University in Informatics. He is doing this as a complementary study to his studies at the CAWU Learning center. He showed me his excel sheet. He organizes himself every single hour of the day, including rest and workout slots. He also told me that he is very serious about his future, he is willing not to sleep in order to get high marks. Senae told me that having bad marks is not an option as he would feel that he is not meeting the expectations of the teachers. He would like to visit South Korea, he is even learning the language by himself. Prior to CAWU, he attended the African Hope learning center.
