In an aired call-in show on Egyptian TV, the Egyptian Christian architect responsible for the construction of the new mosque of the administrative capital, Joseph Farīd, said that he does not perform his job as architect according to religious affiliations, and that the al-Fattāḥ al-ʿAlīm Mosque is not the first mosque he designs its yards, and that he had already designed four other mosques inside and outside Egypt.
