The Egyptian Family House [Bayt al-ʿĀʾila] Conference launched a message of peace to the world calling for coexistence, citizenship, and acceptance of one another, noting that Egypt is one fabric that has consciously triumphed over challenges under its political leadership and the wisdom of its religious leaders.
The Egyptian Family House held a ceremonial conference on the 10th anniversary of its establishment, in the presence of the Grand Imam Dr Aḥmad al-Ṭayyib, the Shaykh of al-Azhar, His Holiness Pope Tawāḍrūs II, the Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Dr al-Ṭayyib stressed that the openness of al-Azhar to religious institutions will save humanity from its contemporary crisis and that the Family House is the seed for mutually deliberate understanding between the Azhar and the Church.
His Holiness Pope Tawāḍrūs II suggested that over the next decade there will be a need to adopt an authentic approach based on the love of God, nature, the others, and the homeland. Participants in the conference unanimously agreed that the model of coexistence in Egypt is unique and that it is a country that accommodates everyone.
