Dr. Su’ād Sāleh, professor of Islamic Comparative Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) at the women college for Islamic studies at Al-Azhar University, accused Dr. Hassan al-Janaynī the Al-Azhar scholar of attributing a 'weak' hadith (saying) to Prophet Muhammad. According to Dr. Sāleh, the hadith in the Book of Marriage that says: “If I were to order anyone to prostrate to anyone, then I would order the wife to prostrate to her husband,” is a narration that lacks authenticity as classed by the terminology of the Sunni hadith studies.
