The Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Dr. Naẓīr ʿEyād, and Head of al-Azhar Education Sector, Shaykh Ayman ʿAbd el-Ghanī, received a delegation from the Center of Christian Muslim Understanding and Partnership (CCMUP). The delegation included the Director of the center, Bishop Dr. Munīr Anīs, the Director of Academic Studies at the center, Reverand Dr. Matthew Anderson, the Director of Communication at the center, Karīm Jirjis, and Supervisor of the Department of Islamic Studies in the German Language at al-Azhar University, Dr. Ismāʿīl ʿAbdullāh. During the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation in a variety of activities in the field of dialogue and understanding.
