review the law on building

churches. The old law dates from 1854 and was often criticized inside and outside

Egypt. The committee will also

review the media. The aim is bring the Copts abroad onto the same line as the

Copts in Egypt, which will make it

easier for Egypt to face the proposed new religious freedom law in the

USA.
