Concerning old age, Solomon said in

his proverbs "the pride of sons [is], their fathers, the crown of old age, white hair". This is why old men

are

called Shaykhs, the title of the teachers, prominent leaders and wise men in all religions. The

word

shaykh meant a priest or a bishop because they had similar tasks. This is the reason why the

church put a

condition on the ages of bishop, who should not be less than 50 years old. This and many other

critical conditions

were made to guarantee that the man whom is going to be a bishop has passed the age of

making decisions influenced

by emotion, inexperience, caprice or jumping to conclusions without thinking.
