them for God. God dwells in the mosque and the church. Egyptians have lived for

thousands of years in one country.

Many religions have been in Egypt. Even during pagan times, not one

religion dominated, neither were there

religious fights. There were people who subjected themselves to Amon

or Aton or Raa or Hathour. Everyone had his

own denomination and all of them had the same standard of

living. In their private and public lives, outside the

temple, all were Egyptian and they all shared the

same citizenship rights and duties.
