The Church of the Holy Virgin in Beni Suef got the state security approval for the erection of a new roof. Also a presidential decree to the effect that the church was licensed to replace the old timber roof with a new concrete one was issued. But when the renovation work started, security forces raided the site, arrested the workmen, summoned the priest, halted the work, and led everyone to the police station and the prosecution issued its ruling to halt the work.
