The Islamic British Institute asked the Azhar for permission to translate nine chapters from the Qur´an. Some of the members of the Islamic Research Institute understood that it wanted to transliterate the Qur´an in Latin. It is impossible to have something like that in Egypt, but in some Islamic countries like Pakistan and Turkey there are copies of the Qur´an transliterated in non-Arabic language and pronounced in Arabic
