Victor Nehemias, who spent half his life in Egypt and is now in his seventies, recently published a book called “The man who was born twice: The story of an Egyptian Jew who emigrated to Israel.”


Nehemias writes that he is a victim of the Arab-Israeli conflict that transformed him from being an Egyptian citizen into a refugee after the 1956 war. The author illustrates the life of Egyptian Jews and recalls many examples. Nehemias talked about the Jewish contribution to Egypt’s cultural and artistic life.
