The death of the priest of the village of Taha Al-‘Ameda and two members of the church council was about to stir up sectarian strife in the village. The fire of the sectarian strife was rapidly quenched thanks to the wisdom of the villagers and the good relations [between Muslims and Christians] However, the accident was seen by some as a chance to renew the demands of the Christian population of the village who complain that only one church is not enough to meet the needs of 12,000 Christians in the village.
