In his interview with Reuters, Youssef Shahin, the Egyptian director who is well-known in Europe and especially in France said that he hates the apparent religiosity in Egyptian society and he feels angry when the call to the prayer is spoken through the loudspeakers of mosques in Cairo. Shahin’s strange words will affect his popularity, especially after he said that he is annoyed by the increase in the conservative and religious attitude of actresses.
