Every time I visit my homeland Egypt, I witness the same misery. I ask them is the church in Mallawi closed and they answer “Unfortunately, yes.” We feel oppressed and deprived because our Muslim brothers have more space to pray than we do, although we make up ninety percent of the area’s population. I ask whether the Ministry of Interior has any authority over the small village to keep it safe. I ask what are the security concerns that prevent 10,000 Copts in the area from enjoying their rights of practicing their religious rituals?
