Dr. Abdel Mo‘ti Bayoumi, professor at the Azhar University and the secretary of the Religious Committee of the People’s Assembly, stated that he, along with Dr. Abdel Raḥmān al-Adawi, submitted an urgent request to Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour, the Speaker of the People’s Assembly, to suspend or cancel this decision.
