While human rights organizations and a number of [Egyptian] political representatives from different orientations refused to receive the leader of the Democrats of the American Congress, Tom Lantos, Saad Eddin Ibrahim, head of the Ibn Khaldoun Center, welcomed Lantos’ visit along with a delegation of congressmen that is supposedly spreading democracy and peace. Lantos is known for his hostile stance toward Egypt.
