The article sheds light on the role of Bernard Lewis, a Jewish American orientalist in the American policies in the Middle East. He was the major advisor of many American administrations on Middle East affairs and the most influential political thinker in the American foreign policies.

Lewis’ new book, “ Faith and Power: Religion and Politics in the Middle East” represents the worst and most dangerous example of orientalism.
