Over the past 50 years, the spread of political Islam and the isolation of Copts have been the two major political problems. The spread of static political Islam and the isolation of Copts from the political arena together in light of suppression have lead to political deals to achieve any goals.

The claimed coordination between the Muslim Brotherhood and Copts in the upcoming parliamentary elections is an example of such political deals and it is doomed to fail.
