Speakers on behalf of the three Egyptian churches expressed their support of a new mosque that is to be named after the Virgin Mary. Kalyoubiya Governor, Adly Hussein, announced so during an Iftar event at the Archbishopric of Shubra al-Khaima. The Governor also stated that Pope Shenoda III had promised to open a new building at the Archbishopric.
