Various Coptic and Islamic leaders told Nahdet Masr that they disapprove of the El-Awa-Bishoy case being escalated to the courts, and that matters such as these should be dealt with cautiously for the sake of national unity. Dr. Soaad Saleh said that Dr. El-Awa has been misquoted in the media.
