Sāmih says that sectarian tension has been on the rise since last July when Kāmīliyā Shihātah first went missing. It has reached a level that requires the government’s interference, he says, but it seems like the government is oblivious of what is going on with the people. Sāmih says that the Kāmīliyā crisis is what they claim this to be all about, but in reality there are other issues that date back to the 1970s.
