Al-Sāwī finds it strange that the media would cover a religious conference such as the one where Bishop Bīshūy made his infamous comments. He says that newspaper articles about religion are too detailed for the common reader. It is no secret that there are differences between the foundations of Islam and Christianity. These differences will inevitably be stressed on and discussed by extremists for their own reasons, he says, and it is the media’s duty to avoid these discussions.
