The author calls upon President Muhammad Husnī Mubārak to interfere and put an end to this Kāmīliyā/Al-‘Awwā/Bīshūy fitna. The past few weeks have seen both sides elevate relentlessly and sectarian tension has spread out from the lower class extremists to the educated intellectuals and media figures. National security is at stake here, so the author recommends that the president interfere and reprimand all parties causing fitna.
