American resident and Egyptian geologist Rushdi Sa^cīd said Egypt is in a “degraded” state. He pointed to the water crisis, education, health care and lack of democracy. Sa^cīd claims that religious tension dominates society and that Al-fitnah al-tā’ifīyah should be the President’s top priority. He added that the only solution is for Egypt to become a civil state.
