Over 2,000 citizens took part in demonstrations outside the Al-Fath mosque in Ramses Square after the Friday prayers, requesting "the release of Muslim women from church prisons and the removal of Bishop Bīshūy for aggression against the Qur'ān." Shaykh Hafez Salāmah led the demonstration.
