The Supreme State Security prosecution decided to release the Shiite group that was arrested last month for the alleged promotion of Shiism, the defamation of the sahābah, refusing to recognize the caliphate of Abū Bakr al-Siddīq, ‘Umar Ibn al-Khattāb, and ‘Uthmān Ibn ‘Affān. The group’s attorney said that they were released due to a lack of evidence supporting the charges.
