The Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement claiming that 27 of its supporters were arrested in Ismailia and 6th of October City while hanging posters to promote the group’s parliamentary candidates. The group also warned against the consequences of security forces using extreme violence, such as opening fire on the group’s supporters. The statement also talked about various Arab and regional affairs, such as Yemen and the World Council of Churches’ alleged plans to Christianize southern Sudan.
