Radwān says that for the past six months, the German media has not gone a single day without discussing Islam in Europe. He talks about a book by former member of the Governing Council of the German Federal Bank, Saratsin, who says that one of Germany’s largest threats is its increasing number of Muslim citizens of Turkish and Arab descent. He talks about the reactions to Saratsin’s book and how the president’s speech at the German reunification anniversary only caused more controversy, even though he attempted to choose his words wisely.
Radwān then talks about the growing number of Muslims in Europe and the United States, asking whether Islam is the future of those countries. He says that the current number of Muslims in Europe is too large for them to disappear, yet too small to pose a threat. Radwān then calls upon all Muslims in the West to work hard in order to prove that they are capable of contributing to their respective societies just as much as anyone else.
