Islamic sources report two main reasons for the state security’s arrest of Shaykh Abū Yihyā and Khālid Harbī, head of the Islamic Centre for the resistance to Christianization. The first reason is to prevent them from testifying in the case of Kāmīliyā Shihātah’s conversion to Islam, whereas the second one is to find the book“Kāmīliyā Shihātah’s conversion to Islam” written by Abū Yihyā’s brother in law.
