Hishām Qāsim talked about the base of Jesus Christ's call on Earth, which was getting rid of that which is superficial, caring instead for the purity of the soul.

The author cites many examples of what he sees as religious intolerance, including praying during work hours, reading the Bible and the Qur’ān without applying what is in them, and violating each other's personal freedom. Because of these problems, Qāsim says that we need Christ's forgivenes.
