The Coptic Orthodox Church, represented in the Alexandria Millī (Community) Council, and families of people killed and injured in the bombing attack that targeted the Church of the Two Saints, Pope Peter and Saint Mark, on January 1, 2011, filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister 'Isām Sharaf and Minister of Interior Mansūr al-'Isawī for the slowdown on relevant investigations.
Joseph Malāk, a lawyer for the Church of the Two Saints, had lodged complaints for the public prosecutor and attorney general and several others to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), the recent of them was submitted on September 5, 2011 to the Commander of the Northern Military Zone in Alexandria.
The terrorist attack left 21 Copts dead and more than 100 others wounded.
