Al-Akhbār reports that there is still an uneasy calm in Dahshūr, after the family of Mu’āz Hasab Allah, who died [in the recent sectarian violence between Muslims and Christians], hung up banners demanding retribution, sparking fears of a renewed outbreak of violence. This comes at a time when the security presence in the village is noticeably decreasing. The remaining security forces will withdraw gradually to return the village to normal life.
