George Philipe, manager of the research department at Gelgena company, filed a lawsuit in the Administrative Court against Bishop Pachomius, Coptic Orthodox acting Patriarch, demanding his excommunication.

Philipe stressed the necessity of canceling the decision of the former Armed Forces Commander in Chief, Husayn Tantāwī of appointing Bishop Pachomius. He added that Bishop Pachomius followed a statute in the election that limited voters to Coptic journalists, ministers, and Members of Parliament.
