Different church leaders support Bishop Pachomius, Coptic Orthodox acting Patriarch, refusal to subject church endowments to the state's supervision.

Bishop, Dr. Yūhannā Qultah Sa‘īd, Deputy Patriarch of the Coptic Catholic Church, said that how the state want to monitor the church money when the state did not give that money!

He added why the state interfere in a relationship between a person and God? Why are they looking in the tithes that the church receive from its people to spend on the disadvantage on those of need! The Deputy Patriarch added that tithes is like zakāh in Islam.
