Copts are questioning the delay of President Mursī to visit churches as he visits different mosques every Friday.

Father Rafīq Greish, spokesperson for the Coptic Catholic Church, expected that Mursī will not visit the churches except after the election of the new Coptic Orthodox Patriarch.

Coptic Evangelical Pastor Rif'at Firkī said that the President has to visit churches soon in order to not reinforce the idea of "a President of a Brotherhood state rather than President for all Egyptians".

Additionally, Coptic Orthodox acting Patriarch Bishop Pachomius commented that the President is welcome anytime and he will be received in an honorable manner that suits the President of the Republic.
