Following the escalation of protests against the anti-Islam American movie, Abū Islām Ahmad ‘Abd Allāh, the manager of al-'Ummah Satellite channel who is known for his hard-line Islamic attitudes, ripped up the Bible in front of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo (1). "I wanted to convey a message to western Christians, that we are capable of retaliating, had it not been for the law of God, we would have retaliated 'twofold'.  God ordered us not to fight except those who fight us and not to assault except those who assault us; 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth'. This time I tore their holy scripture, but next time, if they are not inhibited, I will make my grandson urinate on it in front of the Cathedral," Abū Islām declared.

Abū Islām explained that Egyptian Christians are required to make decisions against expatriate Copts ridiculing the Prophet in order to stop the harm they are causing. He further accused Copts in Egypt and overseas of exchanging roles, "its like musical chairs…some of them hit and the others apologize, but in reality they are one team(2)… I burned King James Version of the alleged Bible. I did nothing to the Arabic version of the Bible out of respect to the Copts of Egypt, yet I will burn the Arabic version if expatriate Copts are not deterred. For your information, I do not believe Egyptian Copts when they separate themselves from the actions of expatriate Copts(3)," Abū Islām added.
