Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II called upon Copts to pray for Egypt and for its officials so that God could enlighten them and give them wisdom. In his first tweet after his return from Saint Bishoy Monastery (Dayr al-Anbā Bīshūy) in Wādī al-Natrūn, he  posted: “Our beloved sons...Please pray with your hearts for our beloved country Egypt and every official in it so that God gives them wisdom and enlightenment in every step they take.
