The Azhar's initiative for dialogue "Family House" or "Bayt al-‘Aylah" called on President Muhammad Mursī to freeze the recently issued Constitutional declaration and to engage in dialogue with national powers as soon as possible in order to bring Egypt out of its current crisis.  It also called on all revolutionary and political forces to cooperate to resolve the dispute by participating in objective, transparent discourse. All parties should seek out means to involve all Egyptians in this critical stage in order to achieve the aims of the revolution and bring Egypt to safety without bloodshed (Fathī Majdī, al-Misrīyūn, Dec. 8, p. 2). Read original text in Arabic
