Rev. Jawhar ‘Azmī, a member of the Executive Committee for the Dialogue Council at the Coptic Evangelical Synod of the Nile, said there are no reasons for the state of panic in Coptic circles.

“Enlightened liberal parties and the Azhar are assurances that the future of Egypt will be fine,” said ‘Azmī in an interview to Watanī newspaper.

He said that emigration out of the homeland at this critical time is tantamount to treason, adding that the regime of former President Husnī Mubārak has committed a crime by neglecting to build the Egyptian brains.
