Michael Meunier, the leader of al-Haya Party, said he would return from the Netherlands to Cairo soon after he was summoned to appear before the prosecution for investigation on charges of involvement in the October 9 incidents outside the state Radio & TV building in Maspero area.

Meunier, in statements over the phone with al-Misrī al-Yawm, said that he was hurt in his leg on October 9, 2011 and that he did not participate in the Maspero march that eventually led to the death or injury of dozens of civilians.

"Investigation with me is yet another step in the attempts to intimidate Coptic leaders," said Meunier, citing the lawsuit filed against Coptic tycoon Najīb Sawirus and summoning of priests Philopater Jamīl and Mattias Nasr for investigations.
