(Author’s note: Wafāꞌ Mustafá Mashhūr is the sole woman that topped the electoral list of the Muslim Brotherhood. She is the general director of the Islamic Dār al-Harā’ Schools in Asyut, married to Dr. Muhammad ‘Abd al-Jawwād, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering. A Bachelor of Art in Arabic and Islamic studies, she contributed to the establishment of al-Nahdah Schools in Yemen, and held an intellectual salon entitled, "Let's Build Egypt Together" that started before the revolution in 2005).
