Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II has requested that all of the districts send in their recommendations surrounding the Personal Status regulations to the clerical council. On Thursday, March 21, the Pope held a lecture about the Personal Status regulations during a conference organised by the Clerical Council at Saint Bishoy Monastery in Wādī Natrūn. For the first time, the conference witnessed the presence of three members of the 1938 Copts League namely, General Secretary Rafīq Fārūq, political advisor Rā'fat Rayd, and the official spokesperson, Nādir al-Sīrafī.

Al-Sīrafī revealed that there was an agreement between the league and Bishop Būlā to submit their suggestions to achieve urgent solutions for the problems surrounding Personal Status Law (Rānīyā Nabīl, al-Sabāh, Mar. 22, p. 7). Read original text in Arabic.
