Rīmūn Nājī, one of the journalists who fell victim to an attack from Church Scouts outside Virgin Mary Church in al-Zaytūn area, said that he used his belt to protect himself from the scouts. Journalists were there to cover the forty-fifth anniversary of Virgin Mary's appartition in al-Zaytūn  but the scouts appeared and said that they did not want reporters to be there, and began to shout insults at journalists.
