The railroad and agricultural road were blocked yesterday (Apr. 5, 2013), by family's of the victims of an incident which occurred more than two months ago, in an effort to increase the pressure on the security forces and in Alexandria to deal this situation. Last February, five bodies were found in a farm owned by a Sohag resident in the area of Burj al-'Arab in Alexandria. Investigations revealed that five unknown assailants travelling by microbus entered the farm and opened fire as a result of a dispute about the victim's private land which was purchased from some “nomads”. The eldest brother of the three victims, Fāris 'Ayād Sūryāl said he will gather about a thousand residents from Sohag to Alexandria to avenge his brothers because of the police's failure to control the criminals who killed his brothers and two other workers at the ranch (al-Wardānī 'Abd al-Hāfiz, al-Watan, Apr. 6, p. 2).
