Following the funeral service at the Cathedral, hundreds of young Copts marched to the interior ministry in al-'Abbāsīyyah. Upon arrival they made several demands regarding security for Copts. They asked that the Egyptian Army be deployed to defend Copts, that they be allowed to hire private security contractors to defend churches, and that the Public Prosecutor order an investigation into the events and deaths in Khusūs (Manār Mukhtār and Sarah Hāmid, al-Misrīyūn, April 8, p. 1). Read original text in Arabic.
