President Mohamed Morsi (Muhammad Mursī) ignored dozens of injuries that occurred inside the Cathedral because of the Ministry of Interior’s tear gas and his followers’ Molotov cocktails and sent a very sentient message, saying "the Church is an Egyptian Coptic symbol that cannot be prejudice!"

Morsi had sent three of his vice presidents to the Cathedral to calm things down and to carry the above-mentioned message. However, Dr. Pākīnām al-Sharqāwī, Dr. Ayman ‘Alī, and Dr. ‘Imād ‘Abd al-Ghaffūr came out from the meeting with nothing. They even asked the Church officials not to make any statements to the press.
